HOW TO GET A WORD '97 VIEWER FOR FREE
If you don't have MS Word '97, go to the Microsoft free software site and download WORD VIEWER from http://officeupdate.microsoft.com/downloadCatalog/dldWord.htm Word Viewer will work in the Windows environment to allow you to read, cut, paste, and do all that good stuff to document files without having to buy Word '97. (It won't let you write new documents, however.)
HOW TO UN-ZIP THOSE FILES
These files are compressed for fast download using the ZIP format. If you don't have an unzipper, go to http://www.winzip.com/ and download a free version of Nico Mak's WinZip.
IMAGES VIEWER
The images are in the standard jpg format. To view them you will need some sort of graphics viewer. The best one I know of is http://www.jasc.com, and the Paintshop Pro viewer is downloadable for free.
PCB AND SCHEMATIC VIEWER.
The PCB artwork (if there is any) and schematic in the native CircuitMaker and Traxmaker formats can be viewed by downloading the demo of these programs at http://www.circuitmaker.com (note -- as of July '00 the new CircuitMaker v2000 was released, but the demo was not yet up on the website. It has been promised.)
